Do you have what it takes to be a Camp AIM staff member?
Every year we hire dozens of responsible, caring and enthusiastic high school and post high school staff members. You must be age 16 or older to apply for a position in Camp AIM. Our staff work hard but they are the first to admit that CAmp AIM is also incredibly rewarding, uplifting and meaningful for the staff.
Summer 2017 Dates:
DAY CAMP July 3-August 18
OVERNIGHT August 21-24
Room head: this job is open to applicants aged 21+. Previous employment in camp AIM or other Special Education facility a plus. Responsibilities include planning and delivering programs for a group of 10-12 children with varying needs, speaking with parents and collaborating with therapy and staff teams.
Personal Support Worker: a PSW is a 1:1 support for children with complex medical or physical needs and those who are a flight risk. Working 1:1 often means developing a special bond with a child and gaining a lot of experience from working alongside our therapists. Applicants must be 16+
Assistant: the assistant works along with the room head to support a small group of children who do not have a 1:1 staff assigned to them. Previous experience with children with ASD, Down Syndrome and Developmental Delay a plus. Applicants must be 18+
Volunteer: we love our volunteers! Whether you are available part time or full time there is always what to do at Camp AIM. Volunteers spend time with children that need extra assistance with dressing, feeding and swim and pitch in to help staff members when needed. Volunteers must be 15+
Day Care: want to work in Camp AIM but not quite ready for hands on work with children with special needs? Work with staff kids in our day care! Open to ages 13+
Media: we are looking for someone that is proficient with website updating, social media, photography and editing. This is a part time position open to applicants with experience in this field.
